FRONT 242 releases FREE 2-track download
Ahead of their time back in the early 80's, the Belgian cult electronic act FRONT 242 now makes an ultimate statement towards abusive audio compression by releasing the free 2-track download, "First moment", in 5 various audio sound quality formats:

1. Mp3 - 192Kbps (medium quality)
2. Mp3 - 320Kbps (good quality)
3. Wave - 16bits/44Khz files
4. Free Lossless Audio Codec (Flac) - for PC
5. M4A Apple Lossless - for Mac

It's up to the listener to hear the difference between the various audio sound formats and thus hear for him/herself what good quality audio sounds like. To get hold of this free 2-track download, which will hit the online world on June 15th, you need to register here : http://www.alfa-matrix.com/shop_comments.php?id=1524_0_8_0_C ! Pre-registering is needed in order to get hold of the free download.

The synthetic dream foundation -- "Behind the gates of horn and ivory"
The synthetic dream foundation has a new album, entitled "Behind the gates of horn and ivory" coming out at the end of this month. The sound clips on their site sound phenomenal. Anyone else had a chance to listen to the sample mp3s yet? I think this is going to be the best TSDF album yet.

The synthetic dream foundation - Tendrils of pretty !!

The synthetic dream foundation

has just released their new album, on mythical records. Its a beautiful fusion of dark classical music, ebm, psytrance, and dark ambient music. It features guest vocals by Summer Bowman (The machine in the garden), Hannah Fury, Aaminah kerdelen, Tamara Kent, and Samantha Bouqin. I highly recommend this album to everyone. Its one of the best releases, by far, for this scene in years. Stunning production levels, creative sound design, and masterful orchestration of song writing. This is a soon to be classic. F242 Jersey Update
Heylo...
As an update on the status of the F242 bike jersey project, it's a deffinte go. Patrick is even going to buy three for the band!

It's great to see interest in this, and I hope we can get more people in on it.

A cleaner cut of the jersey is in the works, pending my schedule and access to computers with Adobe Illustrator (which I do have, just not at home). Such will posted for feedback etc.

Never stop (biking)!

Never Stop! (Biking)
Hello...

I am an avid cyclist and F242 fan. One day, the thought of mixing the two struck me, and it lead me to want to make an F242 bike jersey. As of yet, I contacted and been replied to by Patrick Codneys about using some album art in a custom jersey, and it looks like a potential go.

Here is a rough cut of what I had in mind; any input to changes/your own designs are welcome.

Jerseys become cheaper as more are printed, so the more people who are interested in this, the cheaper they individually will be.

Comment, email me, etc., if you like the idea. And get the word out about this - more people, less cost! (Estimate right now is about $80)
For more specific pricing, go here.

LEAETHER STRIP joins Alfa Matrix + new EP
LEAETHER STRIP joins Alfa Matrix + new EP

For those interested:

-------------------------------------------
LEAETHER STRIP JOINS ALFA MATRIX
-------------------------------------------

Hi,

We are very proud to announce you all that Alfa Matrix is from now on the safe haven for the Danish cult EBM legend LEAETHER STRIP.

Here is a statement from Claus Larsen himself:

"Dear EBM heads"

All the shit is together now. There was a few bumps on the road, but that's the way things are.
I have together with the label Alfa Matrix agreed that it was about time I got out of my dark hole and start my dear old friend Leæther Strip up. It wasn't really fair to him to just leave him in the ruins like an old car after all he gave me.
A big thanks to the alfa Matrix team for giving me the push.
So here we go boys and girls. We have started the presales now for my first EP, called "Suicide Bombers".
We need to get this scene up and running again, and to show the big boys we're still alive. So I hope you will take a little trip to the Alfa Matrix site and show me that we can get the shit up and running again like the good old 90's. Again I am still very touched by all your loving words. I've been working my ass off to bring Æ back, and I really hope you will like the EP. The lyrics are as personal as they ever were and I wanted to stay true to my older work. Also you get a free sticker if you buy it off the Alfa Matrix site. Ain't that a hoot, hehe.
I will get back to my work on the album, it's almost finished mates.
Now go and click that "buy" link.

Lots of bearhugs

Claus"

The first release to be issued via Alfa Matrix will be the 7-track EPCD "Suicide Bombers". The first 2000 copies will also include an exclusive LS sticker for the online buyers! Tracklist and audio previews are now online at: http://www.alfa-matrix.com/shop_comments.php?id=635_0_8_0_C

At the same time, an exclusive 7" mix of the new Leaether Strip track "Suicide Bombers" will be featured on our 2CD compilation "Cyberlab 5", check the following link for complete tracklist info: http://www.alfa-matrix.com/shop_comments.php?id=628_0_8_0_C
